The Design
This BlogSolid design was created by ImarKriege from SolidStuff. Here is what Imar says about the theme:
2007 was my fourth year of study in Graphic Design at CPUT. Blogsolid resulted from my first project for the year which also included an Academic Report about the influence of Web Usability on Blogging.
The inspiration came from nature:
- Rock represents the strong foundation for Solid Basics
- The organic nature of wood represents Solid Growth
- Moving water represents solid power
The header features images corresponding with each of the 3 categories. A random image representing the current category is displayed when the page loads. This happens thanks to Matthew Mullenweg’s Random Image Script.
The logo represents the 3-part cycle of blogging:
- Message (what you blog about).
- The vehicle (your blog).
- The recipient (people who read your blog).
